Job summary

The East Side Union High School District (ESUHSD) seeks a skilled battery percussion coach to support marching band and winter percussion programs. The coach will work with credentialed teachers at district high schools, directing basics, rehearsals, and performances while guiding students of varying skill levels.

Responsibilities include rehearsal preparation, instruction, and performance support across one or more school sites, contributing to a high-quality production for a diverse student

Qualifications

• Experience in battery pedagogy, rehearsal planning and implementation.
• Experience teaching high school-aged students.
• Experience teaching small and large group instruction.

Responsibilities

• Direct all aspects of Marching basics to all battery percussion members.
• Attend and assist director at rehearsals.
• Attend and assist at performances as scheduled with the director.
• Foster student creativity, discipline, and teamwork in a culturally responsive and inclusive environment.
