Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools seeks a Baseball assistant coach for Dominion High School. The season runs from February through May, with duties under the head athletic coach and in coordination with the athletic department.

The role involves supporting program structure, attending staff meetings, and promoting sportsmanship and school pride among athletes while performing related duties as assigned by school leadership.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience or participation at high school or college level.
• Completion of CPR and First Aid training, or enrollment in training.
• Prefer experience as a teacher or classified employee in Loudoun County Public Schools.
• Prefer Virginia Teaching License candidate or a full-time classified employee for LCPS.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with head athletic coach to operate a well-structured program.
• Collaborate with the athletic department.
• Attend all staff meetings prescribed by the head athletic coach during the season.
• Carry out duties designated by the head athletic coach.
• Recommend equipment and supplies for the sports program.
• Recommend disciplinary actions regarding players violating rules.
• Foster sportsmanship, pride for the school and community among athletes.
• Perform other duties as requested by the high school principal or athletic director.
