Job summary

Poplar Bluff R-I School District in Missouri invites applications for an Assistant Baseball Coach at the high school for the 26-27 school year. The position is an extra-duty stipend in addition to the certified role and follows the district's salary schedule.

The successful candidate will assist the Head Coach with practice planning, skill development, and game preparation, while upholding sportsmanship and student-athlete growth in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education preferred or minimum 36 college hours.
• Valid Missouri Teacher Certificate preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Skills in human relations, leadership, and conflict management.
• Knowledgeable of coaching techniques for diverse students.
• Familiar with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Comply with district and state rules for the program.
• Must pursue licensure to drive a school bus.

Responsibilities

• Coach participants in skills for athletic achievement.
• Plan and schedule in-season practices.
• Schedule interscholastic contests with Head Coach.
• Assist with equipment purchases and inventory.
• Ensure safety conditions of facilities.
• Uphold sportsmanship and athletic standards.
