Job summary

Qualifications

• Prior job experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teaches courses utilizing standard of study adopted by the Board of Education and other appropriate learning activities.
• Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
• Develops lesson plans and organizes daily classes for demonstrations and instruction.
• Prepares for classes and shows written evidence of preparation upon request.
• Provides individual and small group instruction to adapt curriculum to students' needs.
• Assesses student progress and provides reports to principal, parents, and district.
• Maintains records and attends meetings; participates in committees and curriculum development.
• Oversees music program including recruiting, rehearsals and performances.
