Responsibilities

• Plan and implement Summers County Schools' standards-based curriculum based on applicable state standards.
• Set high standards of academic achievement and behavior.
• Implement adopted and supplemental academic programs aligned with state standards.
• Uphold school rules, regulations, and Board policy.
• Assist in achieving district education goals and philosophy.
• Be accountable for student achievement.
• Implement technology skills in instruction.
• Accommodations and modifications for students with IEP/504/SAT or other documentation.
• Collaborate with special education for jointly planned instruction.
• Possibly design and run designated co-curricular activities.
• Address diverse learners with appropriate teaching methods.
• Maintain confidentiality as required by law.
• Maintain accurate records as required by law.
• Demonstrate strong communication with students, parents, and peers.
• Engage in continuous professional growth and school improvement activities.
• Attend faculty meetings and participate in professional development.
• Supervise students and Band Program activities as assigned.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Principal or Superintendent.
