PLATTSMOUTH COMMUNITY SCHOOLS is seeking a Music Teacher to develop students' understanding and appreciation of music across genres, periods, and styles. The role involves identifying talents in vocal and instrumental expression and coordinating performances beyond the classroom.

You will implement a balanced music program, assess learning, and maintain records, while engaging parents and collaborating with colleagues to support student growth.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in education applicable to teaching assignment.
• Nebraska State Certification as a Music Teacher.
• Masters Degree preferred.
• Successful prior teaching experience in music.

Responsabilidades

• Develops and administers music education curriculum aligned with district goals.
• Promotes safe, inclusive classrooms for individual and small-group instruction.
• Plans rehearsals and directs student performances outside the classroom.
• Assesses student progress and adapts instruction to meet diverse needs.
• Communicates with parents and coordinates with staff and committees.
