Job summary

Ulster BOCES Career & Technical Center is seeking an Automotive Technology teacher to join our team. Experience with high school populations preferred; NYS certification and fingerprinting required.

Salary commensurate with experience and training. Salary range starting at $67,765.00. To be employed as a Teacher, you must possess a valid teacher certificate and meet NYSED certification requirements. The role supports delivering a rigorous vehicle maintenance program for grades 7–12.

Qualifications

• Must possess NYS teaching certification or qualify for Transitional A teaching certificate.
• Fingerprinting required.
• Experience working with high school students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a career and technical program of instruction that integrates academics into the curriculum.
• Collaborate with other instructors to deliver quality instruction.
• Instruct students in the safe operation of tools and equipment; monitor progress and attendance.
• Engage advisory committees and coordinate with guidance on program issues.
• Maintain current in the field through professional development.
