Job summary

Eatonville School District #404 is seeking individuals to join our team as High School Athletic Workers for home athletic contests. Roles include Ticket Taker, Scoreboard Operator, Shot Clock Operator, Game Manager and Announcer.

These positions are on a substitute or as-needed basis, with responsibilities across event entry, scoreboard operation, timing, event logistics, and public announcements. Strong teamwork and reliability are essential to support safe, smooth athletic events.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of sports rules and regulations (depending on role).
• Technical proficiency for operating cash machines, scoreboards, shot clocks, and related equipment.
• Ability to be trained and carry out cash handling procedures in alignment with school guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Ticket Taker: Greet spectators and verify tickets for entry.
• Scoreboard Operator: Update scores and game information per regulations; address issues.
• Shot Clock Operator: Manage timing and ensure proper game flow.
• Game Manager: Oversee event logistics and coordinate with coaches, officials and staff.
• Announcer: Deliver lively, clear game announcements and information.
