Job summary

Chesterfield County Public Schools is seeking an Athletic Trainer for James River High School. This part-time, on-site role supports student athletes with prevention, assessment and rehabilitation of injuries, under supervision of the program manager.

Requirements include a CAATE-accredited Bachelor's Degree, Virginia Athletic Trainer license or eligible, BOC/NATA certification and current CPR. A Master's degree and two years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have Bachelor's Degree in CAATE-accredited Athletic Training program.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Demonstrates professionalism and fosters a positive environment.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements prevention and education programs for athletes.
• Attends home and away games as agreed with coaches/ADs.
• Performs injury prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation per BOC/NATA standards.
• Demonstrates proper taping, bracing, and equipment fitting.
• Covers pre-season physicals, games, and related events under supervision.
