Job summary

UF Health is seeking an Athletic Trainer to travel to area high schools (Yulee, FL area) and provide on-site sports medicine services under physician supervision.

You will cover practices and events, deliver immediate and rehabilitative care, document encounters, and coordinate with families, coaches and school staff. Eligible candidates hold FL AT licensure, BOC certification, and current BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required; Master's degree preferred.
• Florida Licensure as Athletic Trainer
• Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC)
• BLS or ACLS certification from American Heart Association
• Less than one year on-field athletic training experience

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach athletic training services to local high schools, including practice and event coverage.
• Work under supervision of a physician and communicate with the medical/rehabilitation team.
• Implement emergency and immediate care procedures and triage student athletes as needed.
• Document encounters and track injuries using electronic records.
• Communicate effectively with student athletes, families, coaches and administrators.
• Participate in education events for coaches, student athletes and school staff; engage in community education.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and adhere to standards of practice and ethics.
