Job summary

Valley Christian High School in Cerritos, CA seeks an Athletic Trainer for the 2026-2027 school year to provide preventive and rehabilitative services to student athletes across multiple sports. The role collaborates with Athletic Directors and coaches during practices, games, and travel to deliver care as needed.

The trainer prepares and maintains records, supports the health and wellbeing of athletes, and upholds a Christian role model in line with the school's mission.

Qualifications

• Experience in athletic training with high school athletes preferred.
• ATC credential or equivalent certification is required.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required.
• Active membership in a Protestant Christian church is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement injury prevention programs for in-season and off-season.
• Provide preventive and rehabilitative services to student athletes per medical protocols.
• Design individualized rehabilitation plans and discuss progress with physicians and staff.
• Attend practices and games to render services as needed.
• Meet with Athletic Director and coaches to discuss strategies and best practices.
