Qualifications

• Masters degree required.
• Secondary Administrator Certification required or valid.
• Administrative experience preferred.
• Public Relations experience preferred.
• Knowledge of issues and practices pertaining to boys and girls athletics.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the District may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the hiring and evaluation of high school athletic coaches.
• Coordinate scheduling and operation of all high school athletic programs.
• Collaborate with the administrative team in the successful operation of the high school educational programs.
• Supervise students and oversee athletics events to ensure proper oversight.
• Represent the district on booster clubs and athletic booster organizations.
• Assist with direction and management of parent involvement activities.
• Lead and coordinate maintenance/improvement of athletic facilities.
• Maintain eligibility documentation for athletic participation and compliance with Iowa State/IA athletics associations.
• Oversee financial matters of the Athletic Department.
• Lead in communicating and enforcing the School’s Good Conduct Code with staff, parents, and athletes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
