Central York School District is seeking a High School Assistant Swim Coach to support the development of student-athletes both in and out of the pool. The assistant coach will promote a positive environment and assist the head coach with planning practices and teaching swimming techniques.

High School Assistant Swim Coach plays an important role in supporting the development of student‑athletes both in and out of the pool. Working under the direction of the head coach, the assistant coach helps create a positive, structured, and inclusive environment where swimmers can grow athletically, academically, and personally. Key responsibilities include assisting with the planning and execution of practices, teaching proper stroke technique and training fundamentals, supporting team conditioning and dryland workouts, and helping prepare athletes for competitions. The assistant coach also helps promote a team culture built on sportsmanship, commitment, accountability, and mutual respect. In this role, the assistant coach serves as a mentor and role model—encouraging student‑athletes to pursue excellence in the pool, in the classroom, and in their daily lives. Through consistent guidance and encouragement, the assistant coach helps foster confidence, leadership, and a lifelong appreciation for the sport of swimming.
