Job summary

Central York School District is seeking a High School Assistant Swim Coach to support the development of student-athletes both in and out of the pool. The assistant coach will promote a positive environment and assist the head coach with planning practices and teaching swimming techniques.

Responsibilities include mentoring student-athletes, enhancing their skills, and ensuring adherence to disciplinary procedures. Candidates must possess the required background clearances and are encouraged to contribute positively to the team culture.

Qualifications

• Combination of education and experience necessary to perform the tasks outlined in this job description.
• Must have or be willing to obtain current PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse, and FBI Fingerprint History Background Clearances.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning and execution of practices.
• Teach proper stroke technique and training fundamentals.
• Support team conditioning and dryland workouts.
• Prepare athletes for competitions.
• Promote a team culture built on sportsmanship and mutual respect.
