Job summary

The position requires certification with ASEP or valid Illinois teaching credentials, IHSA test completion, and current First Aid/CPR/AED.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates ability to apply coaching theory, strategies and techniques for high school athletes.

Responsibilities

• Organize and oversee program levels or areas of responsibility.
• Work within the head coach's structure and assist with practice and game planning.
• Ensure participant registration and eligibility; coordinate schedules, facilities, transportation, and budget.
• Maintain equipment and inventory; ensure safety of facilities and participants.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, staff, parents and community.
• Model sportsmanship and maintain positive relationships with local programs.
