I'm looking for a volunteering opportunity
High School and Primary School Teachers for academy in Central Asia

WEC helps to recruit teachers and school staff for this International Academy providing high quality education for children of ex-pat parents who are serving God in this mountainous region of Central Asia. This high school offers curricula in AP, SATs and IGSCEs.

Experience real cross-cultural living as you serve these Christian young people. Commit to at least two years to allow time for language learning and adjusting to the local culture. The academic year begins in mid-August, ends in mid-June, and includes holidays.

Next academic year, there are vacancies for primary and high school teachers in a range of subjects. Positions include roles for a Curriculum Coordinator, and teachers in subjects such as English Literature, Social Studies, Economics, Science, and Maths.

Qualities & Gifts Sought

You should have a passion for helping children learn and want to play a key role in enabling their parents to work in strategic mission locations.

Qualifications required include primary or secondary teacher credentials, depending on the position applied for. Various accommodation options are available, such as living alone or sharing.

WEC is involved in serving communities throughout Central Asia and works alongside other Christian agencies and local churches where available. Our goal is to see the peoples of this region come to faith in Jesus, gather into communities of believers, and be discipled to disciple others.

Our diverse ministry in Central Asia includes missional business, education, English teaching, medical care, and development work.
