Job summary

Teledyne DGO is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Test Engineer to support testing, validation, and qualification of high-reliability electrical and electro-mechanical products used in subsea, aerospace and defence applications. The role involves developing test methods and troubleshooting failures.

You will collaborate with Design, Manufacturing and Quality to ensure product performance and compliant test processes, maintain test equipment, and participate in QMS documentation and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• Experience with electrical test engineering in regulated environments preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles, circuits and insulation testing (IR, hipot).
• Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies and data acquisition systems.
• Exposure to automated test systems or programming (LabVIEW, Python).
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality systems preferred.
• Experience with root cause analysis tools (5 Why, Fishbone).
• 3D modeling experience (SolidWorks) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain electrical test procedures for production and qualification testing.
• Design and support test fixtures, test setups and automated test systems for electrical assemblies and components.
• Support functional, environmental and diagnostic testing to verify performance vs specifications.
• Troubleshoot and analyse electrical failures and conduct root cause analyses.
• Interpret drawings and customer specifications to ensure accurate testing and validation.
• Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineering to improve testability and reliability.
• Analyse test data and generate reports and trends for process improvements.
• Support NPI by developing test strategies and validating designs.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment in compliance with standards.
• Assist with QMS documentation and audits.
