Job summary

Lineage Logistics is seeking a 1st shift forklift operator for our freezer warehouse in Lancaster, NY. The role requires high-reach experience, operating stand-up forklifts, and performing daily maintenance checks. Base pay starts at $21 per hour.

Responsibilities include picking and putting away palletized units, recording RF data, and handling materials safely in cold and dry storage areas. Flexibility to work weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills are required.
• Ability to understand instructions in the country’s official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
• Ability to work in cold storage temperatures down to -20 F/-25 C or hot storage up to 100 F/37 C with provided PPE.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs (18 kg).
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if needed.
• Must be comfortable with varying noise levels.

1st Shift- Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday- 6am-4pm

Base Pay $21

High Reach Experience required

Use stand-up reach forklift to move products, equipment, and materials while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Put away palletized units by lifting forks for placement into racks above floor height
• Pick palletized units out of rack locations above floor height and set up for outbound shipment
• Choose and record materials, weight, counts, and condition of food items via Radio Frequency (RF) system
• Load and unload materials on and off pallets, skids, or lifting device
• Complete daily forklift maintenance/check sheet
• Monitor battery charge, maintain, and clean batteries, and leave material handling equipment at the proper charging station

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with other machinery and material handling equipment

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)

• Basic math skills
• Ability to understand instructions in Country’s official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed
• Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud
