Job summary

Lineage Logistics is hiring a forklift operator at our Illinois distribution site. You will use stand-up reach forklifts to move products, load and unload pallets, and prepare outbound shipments in cold or dry storage environments.

Shifts available: Tue-Sat 5:30am-2pm or Mon-Fri 4pm-12:30am with starting pay $22/hr plus $1.65 shift differential on the second shift. We offer benefits including medical and dental coverage, a 401k plan, paid time off, and holiday opportunities.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills.
• Ability to understand instructions in country language.
• Ability to work in cold and dry storage temperatures.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends if needed.
• Must be comfortable with varying noise levels.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand-up reach forklift to move products and materials.
• Put away palletized units into racks above floor height.
• Pick palletized units for outbound shipment.
• Record materials, weight, counts and item condition via RF system.
• Load and unload materials from pallets and skids.
• Complete daily forklift maintenance/check sheet.
• Monitor battery charge and clean and recharge batteries.

Work Schedule & Pay

2 schedules available: 1st shift Tuesday-Saturday 5:30am-2pm 2nd shift Monday-Friday 4pm-12:30pm Starting pay: $22/hr. plus $1.65 shift differential (2nd shift)

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use stand-up reach forklift to move products, equipment, and materials while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
• Put away palletized units by lifting forks for placement into racks above floor height.
• Pick palletized units out of rack locations above floor height and set up for outbound shipment.
• Choose and record materials, weight, counts, and condition of food items via Radio Frequency (RF) system.
• Load and unload materials on and off pallets, skids, or lifting device.
• Complete daily forklift maintenance/check sheet.
• Monitor battery charge, maintain, and clean batteries, and leave material handling equipment at the proper charging station.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)

• Basic math skills.
• Ability to understand instructions in Country's official language or as defined by Lineage Logistics.
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
• Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $16.97 - $28.65
