Job summary

Stoke Space in the United States seeks a Launch High Power Engineer to design and manage electrical ground systems at Cape Canaveral. You will own the overall architecture, build strategy, and integration with mechanical systems to enable a fully reusable launch complex.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in aerospace electrical design, NFPA knowledge, and proficiency with ETAP/EasyPower/SKM. BS in EE and PE license preferred; roles involve leading teams and coordinating with contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
• Experience in electrical design, power distribution, switchgear, generators
• Experience in aerospace environments
• Reading power/control schematics and O&M manuals
• Proficient with ETAP, EasyPower, SKM

Responsibilities

• Develop, own, and drive overall High-Power architecture & build strategy for ground systems including launch pad and control centers.
• Develop detailed electrical designs and specifications for power distribution, switchgear, lighting, UPS, generators, and grounding.
• Provide engineering support for troubleshooting electrical equipment and controllers; conduct load flow analysis.
• Coordinate with utilities, ensure compliance with NFPA codes, and oversee construction, timelines, budgets, and QA.
• Manage commissioning, operation, and maintenance of power systems; lead external designers, vendors, and contractors.
