Job summary

Relativity Space is building rockets and a factory culture at Cape Canaveral to support Terran R development. The Launch Team collaborates across propulsion, manufacturing, software, avionics, and corporate functions to deliver high-impact results while maintaining autonomy and ownership at all levels.

This role focuses on electrical design for launch facilities, working with senior engineers to deliver projects from concept to construction drawings, and ensuring high-power systems meet safety

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field with 4+ years of experience.
  • Experience applying engineering first principles to electrical system design, troubleshooting, or operations.
  • Experience with aerospace, utility, or industrial electrical systems (power generation, redundancy, etc.).
  • Experience supporting electrical design/operations for power distribution, protection, controls, or sequencing systems.
  • Ability to work independently and solve complex technical problems with sound judgment.
  • Clear communication with stakeholders across diverse teams and backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical project designs and construction drawings for launch and processing facility projects in partnership with senior engineers.
  • Design and support electrical systems across voltage levels from 22.5 kV to 120 V.
  • Support installation planning and purchasing for power generation, distribution, and sequencing systems used in launch operations.
  • Prepare construction drawings, RFPs, bid packages, bid evaluations, and related documentation.
  • Develop electrical system requirements and participate in design reviews for new/ongoing launch facility projects.
  • Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to support future Relativity Space facilities.
