Candidates should hold an MD or DO, board certification in anesthesiology, a PA license, and at least one year of clinical anesthesia experience.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Residency in anesthesiology accredited by ACGME or AOA.
• Board certification in anesthesiology (ABA or AOA).
• Active and unrestricted PA medical license (Pennsylvania).

Responsibilities

• Provide safe preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative anesthesia care for various procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons and teams to develop care plans.
• Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia as needed.
• Monitor vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels for patient safety.
• Respond to emergencies during surgery.
• Document care accurately in medical records.
• Stay current with advancements in anesthesiology through CE.
