Job Summary:

A Tax Principal collaborates closely with partners, staff, and clients. Responsibilities include planning, managing, reviewing, and completing client engagements. We seek a motivated individual to become an integral leader within the firm.

Our professionals aim to help clients minimize tax liabilities while remaining compliant with evolving tax laws. Services include consulting, compliance, stock option planning, international tax advice, and guidance on investments, mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, and liquidations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Manage and review complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts.
• Stay updated on tax law changes, advising clients on impacts and opportunities.
• Lead tax engagements from planning to delivery, including budgeting and monitoring fees.
• Develop strong client relationships through exceptional service and understanding business needs.
• Lead meetings and presentations, clearly articulating tax concepts.
• Monitor engagement profitability via budgets, billing, and expectations.
• Participate in and lead business development efforts, including networking and proposals.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in Accounting.
• Active CPA license.
• 10+ years in high-net-worth tax planning, compliance, and consulting.
• Deep knowledge of estate, gift, and trust tax laws.
• Expertise in IRC Sections 671-679 and estate tax principles.
• Experience with wealth transfer strategies, family office services, and private foundations.
• Proven ability to oversee complex engagements and develop tax strategies.
• Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess) and MS Office.
• Experience supervising and developing staff.
