Job summary

LCRA is seeking a Journeyman to join our Line Operations group in Marble Falls, Texas. You will construct, maintain and repair electric transmission lines across our western district, guiding team members to complete tasks safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of experience in transmission and/or distribution line construction or maintenance.
• Class A Texas commercial driver's license (CDL).

Responsibilities

• Guide and direct less-experienced team members and effectively handle multiple tasks.
• Follow all safety, environmental and departmental policies and procedures.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as bucket trucks, boom trucks, winch trucks, etc.
• Perform live-line maintenance with hot-sticks on energized transmission lines.
• Climb wood and steel transmission structures to extreme heights using proper safety equipment.
• Communicate with management, customers and landowners through verbal and written methods.

Based in Marble Falls, at an expert level, you will construct, maintain and repair electric transmission lines across our western district and help guide team members in accomplishing their tasks safely and efficiently. How You'll Contribute

• Guide and direct less-experienced team members and effectively handle multiple tasks at the same time in support of the supervisor and in lieu of the supervisor.
• Follow all safety, environmental and departmental policies and procedures.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as bucket trucks, boom trucks, winch trucks, etc., used in performing aerial work.
• Perform live-line maintenance with hot-sticks on energized transmission lines.
• Climb wood and steel transmission structures to extreme heights using proper safety equipment.
• Communicate with management, customer and landowners through both verbal and written methods.

How You're Qualified

• Four or more years of experience in transmission and/or distribution line construction or maintenance work or related field involving work at heights or relevant experience.
• Class A Texas commercial driver's license
