Job summary

American Foods Group is seeking a High Lift Operator to operate high lift equipment, move, stack, and retrieve materials in our warehouse and manufacturing facility, ensuring safe, efficient handling and accurate inventory management.

You will inspect equipment at each shift, assist forklift drivers with cycle counts and product rotation in the cooler, rack pallets, and report any safety or quality concerns to supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to work in humid, cold, wet or slippery surfaces with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Operate high lift equipment to move, stack, and retrieve materials safely.
• Complete daily inspection reports and report deficiencies immediately.
• Assist forklift drivers with weekly cycle counts and product rotation.
• Rack and locate palletized products using a scan gun; relocate pallets as needed.
• Communicate racking, pallet, or product issues to supervision.

Overview

Job Summary The High Lift Operator is responsible for operating high lift equipment to move, stack, and retrieve materials within a warehouse or manufacturing facility. This role ensures the safe and efficient handling of materials, contributing to streamlined operations and effective inventory management.

• Complete a daily inspection report of the high lifter at the start of each shift. Report any deficiencies that would not allow safe use of the equipment immediately to the dock supervisor.
• High lifter drivers will assist forklift drivers in weekly cycle counts of the product in the cooler.
• High lift drivers will help forklift drivers in the daily rotation of the product in the cooler.
• Rack and locate palletized products coming from production with the use of a scan gun.
• Pull pallets of product from the racks for order pickers and relocate partial pallets back in the racks.
• Communicate any racking damage, pallet problems, or leaking box issues to their immediate supervisor.
• Communicate any missing product and or damaged product to their immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Must be able to work in a humid, cold, wet or slippery surface at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (P.P.E)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience/knowledge of manufacturing environment
• Previous knife experience in manufacturing environment

Summary

America's Heartland Packing is set to open its doors in early 2025. The 775,000 sq. ft. greenfield project will include a harvest floor, carcass chillers, fabrication area, rendering, further processing area, storage coolers, freezers, and loading docks.
