Job summary

UVA Health is seeking a High-Level Disinfection Manager to lead a newly centralized program for reprocessing endoscopic and specialty scopes across the health system. You will build a team, design processes, and partner with clinical and operational leaders to drive safety, quality, and efficiency.

The role balances strategic program development with hands-on leadership, overseeing daily operations, staffing, and performance metrics in a complex ambulatory and procedural care environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree obtained within 2 years of hire.
• Three years of management or supervisory experience in sterile processing.
• Certification as CRCST or above through IAHCSMM OR CSPDT or above through CBSPD.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the High-Level Disinfection team.
• Oversee scope reprocessing, disinfection, handling, and operations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, infection prevention, and accreditation standards.
