Job summary

USD 259 seeks a Para Sped High Incidence to support students with cognitive, communication, and behavioral needs at Minneha Core Knowledge Magnet Elementary School. You will assist the teacher with instruction, behavior management, and safety, while coordinating with staff and families.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and, preferably, 48 college credits. Some positions may need sign language knowledge, and you will participate in training hours annually.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 48 accredited college credits verifiable with transcript.
• Some positions require knowledge of sign language modalities, Braille, or NCI.

Responsibilities

• Supervises students in class as directed by the teacher.
• Assists in managing classroom routines and procedures.
• Assists in implementing student behavior plans and crisis interventions.
• Assists with transportation of students between buildings.
• Helps integrate technology and classroom setup for instruction.
• Participates in staff meetings, PLCs and parent conferences as required.
