Job summary

SG Inc. is seeking a Solar Electrical Estimator to join our high‑performance estimating team. You will evaluate project drawings, SLDs, and geotechnical reports to prepare detailed takeoffs across DC, AC, and MV systems for utility-scale and commercial solar projects.

Qualifications

• Proficient in solar electrical estimating and cost control to win bids.
• Strong knowledge NEC (690, 691, 705), NESC and interconnection rules.
• Solid understanding of DC string design, combiner sizing, and MV interfaces.
• Accurate calculations of cable lengths, voltage drop, trenching, and crane picks.
• Proficiency in estimating software (Accubid, B2W, HCSS) and BIM takeoff tools.
• Ability to produce 10%-60% design budgets quickly.
• Effective collaboration with developers, OEMs, subs, and PMs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate project drawings, SLDs, and geotechnical reports for takeoffs.
• Prepare detailed takeoff packages across DC, AC, and MV systems.
• Support bidding processes with accurate cost estimates and schedules.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to win profitable bids.
