Job summary

AVA Garden Bar in St. Louis is seeking an energetic Bartender to join our premier nightlife venue. You will mix cocktails, serve wine and beer, and deliver friendly, efficient service to guests in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires 1–2 years of high-volume bartending, knowledge of drinks, and fluency in English. Experience with promotions, cash handling, and customer engagement is valued; training and compliance with local health guidelines are expected.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience bartending at high-volume bars/nightclubs.
• Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, glassware, prep methods, garnishes.
• Formal bartending training preferred.
• Must meet state legal age requirements.
• Must speak fluent English; other languages preferred.
• Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit per local regulations.
• Reading/writing abilities for taking orders and paperwork.
• Basic math used in daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Mix ingredients and prepare cocktails and other drinks per recipe.
• Serve wine, bottled or draft beer.
• Take beverage orders from guests or serving staff.
• Promote current promotions to guests.
• Record and account for all items, process payments and record tips.
