Frontwave Arena and the Oceanside Shock are seeking four reliable, energetic, and team-oriented individuals to join our game-day ice operations team as Ice Shovelers.

Ice Shovelers help maintain the quality and safety of the playing surface during Oceanside Shock hockey games and events, quickly clearing snow during stoppages while supporting the overall game-day operations team. Must be able to skate confidently and safely.

Qualifications

• Must be able to skate confidently and safely.
• Physically capable of repeatedly shoveling and moving snow.
• Able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Professional demeanor and positive attitude.
• Previous hockey, skating, rink, or arena experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Skate onto the ice during designated stoppages in play to remove excess snow and debris.
• Shovel and clear snow from the ice surface using proper techniques.
• Maintain awareness of players, officials, equipment, and other personnel while on the ice.
• Follow directions from the Ice Operations and Game Operations teams.
• Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and game-ready ice surface.
• Arrive on time and be fully prepared for assigned games and events.
• Maintain a professional and positive attitude while representing Frontwave Arena and the Oceanside Shock.
• Assist with other game-day ice and arena operations as needed.
• Follow all arena safety procedures, policies, and instructions.
• Work effectively as part of a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
