Job summary

Pathways Travels in Lancaster, CA is hiring 6 Activities Enrichment Assistants to support after-school programs for K–6. Shifts are 4 hours on Mon, Tue, and Thu from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm, starting in January with December training.

You will assist the Lead Facilitator, supervise small groups, reinforce positive behavior, and help with transitions and materials. Safety, engagement, and effective communication with staff are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College coursework in education/child development preferred.
• Experience working with children or youth in K-8 settings.
• Background check and TB clearance required; CPR/First Aid preferred or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Camp Facilitator in implementing daily schedules, lessons, and activities.
• Lead and supervise small groups during instructional, recreational, and enrichment activities.
• Support classroom management and positive behavior strategies to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Encourage student participation and engagement with high-energy facilitation.
• Prepare, distribute, organize, and clean up instructional materials and supplies.
• Monitor student safety and respond to needs with patience and professionalism.
• Communicate progress or concerns to Lead staff.
• Assist with general cleanup and organization of camp spaces.
