Job summary

Hinkle Outdoor Living, based in Kansas City, seeks an experienced Outdoor Living Guide to lead high-end design-build sales from qualified lead through close. You will own client relationships, guide projects through design, scope, and documentation, and ensure a clean handoff to Operations for profitable execution.

The role emphasizes consultative selling, objection handling, and collaboration with a design team.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in residential sales, preferably design-build/outdoor living/pools.
• Strong closer who can build trust, uncover objections, and guide clients to a decision.
• Excellent communication across phone, video, and in-home conversations.
• Reliable follow-up across multiple opportunities to prevent dropped leads.
• Strong listening, presentation, qualification, negotiation, and closing skills.

Responsibilities

• Run design discovery calls to qualify fit, budget, timeline, and decision-makers.
• Conduct in-home consultations and guide clients through the next steps.
• Collaborate with Designer and Ops Manager to avoid overpromising.
• Present design discovery and proposal decks to clients.
• Lead proposals, overcome objections, negotiate, and close deals.
• Maintain accurate records in HubSpot, LeanScaper, and Google Drive.
• Coordinate comprehensive handoffs to Operations with clear scope and materials.
• Represent Hinkle’s brand voice and consultative client experience.
