Job summary

Forms+Surfaces, a leading designer and manufacturer of architectural products, is seeking a High-End Metal Finisher for our Pittsburgh area facility. The role requires finishing metal surfaces, reading blueprints, and applying satin finishes while adhering to safety standards.

Workdays are Monday–Friday, 7am–3:30pm in Glenshaw, PA. Candidates should have manufacturing experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and be willing to work overtime or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, job orders and drawings.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work overtime and/or weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand and belt sanders to finish products.
• Read and interpret blueprints, job orders and drawings.
• Remove dents, scratches, and defects from metal surfaces using hand and power tools.
• Cut, burn, grind, sand, and drill materials as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies and apply Satin finish to products.

Shift:

Monday - Friday (7am - 3:30pm)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ability to use hand and belt sanders to finish product.


• Capable of reading and understanding blueprints, job orders, and drawings.


• Remove dents, scratches, and defects from metal surfaces using hand and power tools.


• Cut, burn, grind, sand, & drill materials as necessary.


• Ensure the proper use of safety equipment and abide by company safety policies at all times.


• Ability to apply a Satin finish to products.

Requirements:

• Experience in the manufacturing industry


• Experience in autobody field or similar field


• Knowledge and training of the use of power tools and hand tools


• Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and job orders


• Must be able to stand for long periods of time


• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.


• Must be able to bend, stand reach, pull, lift and carry items in the warehouse


• Able to work overtime and/or weekends when needed
