Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. seeks an Emergency Medicine Physician in Mattoon, Illinois for a full-time role. You will work three 10-hour shifts in a structured rotation (6a–4p, 1p–11p, 4p–2a) within a modern ED staffed for double-coverage and high patient throughput.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Active Illinois medical license or eligible to obtain one.
• Valid DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency care in a 32-bed ED for a wide range of cases.
• Collaborate with a second on-duty physician to maintain double-coverage.
• Stabilize patients and coordinate transfers to tertiary partners for high-acuity cases.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records for all encounters.
• Work a 15-shift monthly rotation across three 10-hour blocks.
• Coordinate care with on-site inpatient specialties including psychiatry.
