Job summary

Sysco’s SYGMA Columbus Team is hiring a Tractor-Trailer Delivery Driver to serve customers by safely transporting product from the warehouse and delivering according to invoices and company standards.

Responsibilities include unloading with hand cart or by hand, completing paperwork in accordance with DOT guidelines, maintaining food-safety protocols, building good relationships with customers, and performing other duties as assigned. Training is provided and routes typically travel 2-4 per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required; 1 year tractor-trailer driving experience required.
• Completion of tractor-trailer driving school accepted in lieu of or in addition to high school diploma.
• Valid Class A CDL; must be insurable to operate a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Unload product from trailer by hand or hand cart according to customer specs and company standards.
• Complete paperwork per DOT logs, inspections, maintenance reports and invoices daily.
• Maintain food safety protocols and sanitary conditions in tractor, trailer and warehouse yard.
• Develop and maintain good customer relationships through excellent, courteous service and clear communication.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.
