Job summary

Moltz Constructors seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator for civil and heavy industrial projects across Colorado's remote dam and reservoir sites at elevations around 10,000 feet. This traveling field role requires operating excavators, dozers, loaders and performing grading and trenching while following safety procedures.

You will read plans, coordinate with field teams, and maintain equipment; per diem, lodging options, and potential relocation assistance are provided.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated heavy-equipment operating experience in earthwork, heavy civil or industrial construction.
• Ability to read construction plans, grade stakes and layout markings.
• Understanding of trenching, sloping, benching and excavation safety.
• Willingness to travel to remote Colorado sites and work at high elevation.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, loaders, dozers and other heavy earthmoving equipment to perform grading, digging and backfilling.
• Read and interpret construction documents, grade stakes and layout markings to achieve elevations.
• Apply trenching, sloping and benching techniques with site safety in mind.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
• Collaborate with field leadership to maintain production schedules and quality.
