Job summary

WorkWave Staff is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract assignment in the Stepdown Unit at a Level I Trauma Teaching Hospital in Morgantown, WV. The role involves delivering comprehensive nursing care to a diverse population, performing patient assessments, administering treatments, and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, current BLS and ACLS certifications, and at least 2 years of experience in a high-acuity environment. Licensed RNs in any U.S. state are eligible to apply, but local candidates will not be considered.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in any U.S. state.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Stepdown, Progressive Care, Telemetry, or Acute Care nursing experience preferred.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Stepdown patients.
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and monitor for changes in condition.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and educate patients and families.
