Job summary

Incredible Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for PCU/Stepdown in the Lanham, MD area. The role requires a nursing degree and an active RN license, with preference for candidates experienced in medium to high acuity settings.

You will provide specialized care, monitor patients, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes. Training in BiPAP/CPAP and EMR use is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing.
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license.
• 1 year experience in stepdown/progressive, neurology, cardiac, or another medium to high acuity setting preferred.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation and other advanced nursing care practices.
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care for patients with medium to high acuity needs, closely monitoring vital signs, IV drips and other key indicators.
• Administer medications and implement complex treatment plans, ensuring that medical orders are carried out accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on the management of their acute or chronic conditions, including the proper use of equipment like BiPAP/CPAP/Home Oxygen and vital sign or blood sugar monitors.
• Maintain timely and accurate patient records, adhering to hospital and departmental policies and regulations.
