The position is located in the Ahoskie Resident’s Office. It involves supporting technicians and engineers as the lead HiCams/Office Technician, ensuring compliance with contract standards, and performing data compilation, analysis, and processing. Responsibilities include creating requisitions, managing inventory, payroll administration in SAP, report processing, budget review, contractor payroll review, and maintaining technician certifications. Additional duties may include other office responsibilities as assigned.
Applicants must demonstrate experience with contract administration, understanding of contracts and standards, proficiency with computer equipment (iPads, desktops), software (HiCams, SharePoint), and record keeping. The role requires managing project records, tracking DBE participation, processing estimates, resolving discrepancies, and researching project documents. Strong communication skills, project management ability, and knowledge of highway construction are essential. Must be able to operate a State vehicle. Preference given to applicants with HiCams experience.
Qualifications include an associate degree in Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, or a related field, with two years of technician experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Applicants must meet all minimum and skill requirements, providing complete education and work history in their application.
