Job Scope:

Responsible for installing a minimum of 3 heating and air conditioning systems per week. The HI HVAC Lead Installer will also be responsible for completing frontline services and repairs to company standards within the assigned territory. The role involves supervising the work of the Install Assistant, maintaining high quality standards, and ensuring timely job performance.

Job Summary:

The HI HVAC Lead Installer ensures all heating and cooling product installations (Heat Pumps, HVAC systems, furnaces, boilers) are completed timely, comply with all codes, and uphold excellent customer service. The position also involves promoting and selling additional products/services, mentoring the HI HVAC Assistant, and performing frontline service and repairs across all product lines.

Supervision:

Direct supervision of HI HVAC Assistant.

Reports To:

Manager, HVAC Process Development or Territory Manager, HVAC.

Responsibilities/Skills/Experience:

• Install new HVAC systems according to specifications.
• Protect customer property during installation.
• Remove old equipment and clean work areas.
• Maintain high customer service standards and promote additional products/services.
• Supervise Install Helper for quality and timely work.
• Manage materials inventory and vehicle maintenance.
• Support permitting processes per local regulations.
• Train others on company policies and HVAC installation responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• Applicable CFC License.
• Ability to read and understand technical texts.
• Knowledge of HVAC tools, equipment, and materials.
• Proficiency in English.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, overnight, and Sundays.
• Knowledge of handling hazardous materials.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Valid Driver License and ability to travel as needed.
• Commitment to safety and professionalism.

Job Requirements:

• Technical school degree or equivalent.
• 3-4 years related experience.
• Relevant license/certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Up to 100% travel.
• Minimum 18 years old.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong HVAC diagnostics knowledge and experience.
• Experience with residential HVAC and duct installation.
