Acquisition Contract Specialist – Mid Level

Clearance: Public Trust

Location: 100% onsite in Washington, DC

Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking a Project Manager to assist our HHS government customer by providing non-inherently governmental acquisition support services. The role involves facilitating contract awards and administration, performing quality assurance, and providing budget support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Perform the execution of all assigned requisitions and/or contract actions.
  2. Facilitate the continued administration of contracts in accordance with the FAR.
  3. Support all non-inherently governmental activities necessary to process and administer federal acquisitions, as directed by the OAMS Contracting Officer.
  4. Complete all required documentation for contract files, ensuring uploads in the designated system's eFile as per OAMS SOPD.
  5. Ensure contract files comply with OAMS-prescribed checklists and procedures.
  6. Address inquiries from OAMS customers, vendors, and contractors by directing them to the appropriate federal Contract Specialist or Contracting Officer.
Required Skills and Experience:
  1. Minimum of four years of experience with federal acquisitions.
  2. Experience supporting complex acquisitions, including contract types such as time-and-materials, labor-hour, and some cost-type contracts, utilizing complex source selection techniques like tradeoff analysis.
  3. System and security credentials required to access OAMS acquisition systems; strong written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Ability to manage multiple requirements effectively.
