Position Overview

Located in Bronx, New York, Parkview provides a comfortable home environment for independent elders, offering nutritious meals, wellness and social activities, assistance with daily tasks, and medication support. We seek positive, dependable, and caring Personal Care Aides for night shifts to meet the growing community demand for quality care.

Responsibilities

The Personal Care Aide position includes, but is not limited to:

• Effective and respectful communication with residents, visitors, and staff.
• Learning and staying current on medication management.
• Assisting residents with medication, including preparation, administration, and documentation.
• Supporting residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and hygiene routines.
• Providing mobility assistance and light housekeeping as needed.
• Responding promptly to call bells and monitoring resident whereabouts.

Specific Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Prior experience with medication assistance preferred.
• Experience with elderly care, whether professional, volunteer, or personal, is preferred.

Physical and Emotional Qualifications

• Emotional and physical stamina to serve residents effectively.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.

Additional Duties

Includes assisting with meals, laundry, housekeeping, and operating equipment like elevator lifts. All duties are to be performed with professionalism and compassion.
