Job summary

Right at Home Lexington is actively hiring caregivers to support the elderly in Lexington, KY. We are urgently seeking Sunday workers and offer day shifts, night shifts, and weekend coverage with competitive pay.

As a Caregiver/HHA-PCA, you will assist with daily living tasks, mobility aids, and personal care, while delivering compassionate, respectful support. Training is provided in a supportive team environment that values your contribution.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• Six months experience as an HHA/PCA in health care with completion of state-approved course.
• Empathetic attitude toward elderly care and ability to handle job demands.
• CPR certificate recommended.
• Meets requirements for direct patient care employees.
• Read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle for work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities using devices (cane, walker, wheelchair, lift, hearing aids).
• Assist with prescribed range of motion exercises.
• Measure and prepare special diets.
• Measure intake and output.
• Apply external catheter (condom-type).
• Assist with arm sling/splint applications.
• Assist with daily personal care needs.

Requirements

• High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate
• Six months experience as a Home Health Aide (HHA) and/or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in health care (in homes or facilities) and successful completion of a State approved Nurses Aide or Home Health Aide (HHA) and/or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) course
• Must have a empathetic attitude toward the care of the elderly and sick, and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
• Current CPR Certificate is recommendedMeets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care
• Read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
• Have a valid driver’s license and use of an insured automobile for work and transporting clients
