Job summary

Abacus Employment are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 drivers to join a busy UK distribution operation in Andover. You'll deliver goods safely to one or two retail stores across the South and Midlands, with a variety of day and night shifts available.

Shifts start early: day runs typically 04:00–08:00, or night runs 16:00–20:00, with flexibility. PAYE and Umbrella options pay £18.00–£22.00ph. Ongoing work with temp-to-perm opportunities for the right drivers.

Qualifications

• A current and valid HGV Class 1 licence
• Valid Driver CPC qualification
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience
• No more than 6 points on your driving licence (minor offences considered)

We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (HGV1) Drivers to join their busy distribution operation in Andover. This is an excellent opportunity offering ongoing work, with the potential for a temp-to-perm position for the right candidates.

The Role

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods safely and efficiently to one or two retail stores across the South and Midlands.

Shift & Pay Details

HGV Class 1 – Day shifts available Majority of day runs start between 04:00 and 08:00, with earlier and later start times also available HGV Class 1 – Night shifts available Majority of night runs start between 16:00 and 20:00, with earlier and later start times also available PAYE and Umbrella payment options – £18.00 - £22.00ph standard rate. Ongoing work available Temp-to-perm opportunities for the right drivers

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• A current and valid HGV Class 1 licence
• Valid Driver CPC qualification
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience
