Job summary

Logistics UK is seeking an experienced HGV Inspection Engineer for field-based audits and inspections across London, Essex, and the surrounding area. You will act as a trusted advisor to members, helping them stay compliant and implement improvements, while visiting sites and maintaining strong relationships with major logistics operators.

The role requires current HGV/MHE qualifications, IRTEC/PSV knowledge, and a full driving licence.

Qualifications

• Trained HGV or MHE engineer with relevant qualifications.
• IRTEC standards knowledge for PSV/PCV testing.
• Current car licence or occupational HGV licence.
• Strong IT skills and data reporting.
• Field-based role with independent work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections and audits to high standards.
• Maintain records and reports accurately.
• Support members with compliance and improvement.
• Travel across Essex and East London for site visits.
• Engage with members to provide practical solutions.
