Job summary

NMS Recruit is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy, well-established commercial vehicle workshop. You will diagnose, service, repair and maintain a wide range of Heavy Goods Vehicles, ensuring safety and compliance with manufacturer standards.

The role involves mechanical, electrical and electronic fault diagnosis, with a mix of routine servicing, inspections and more complex repairs. A Level 3 qualification is required and a full UK driving licence is expected.

Qualifications

• A recognised Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and practical repair experience.
• Experience diagnosing electrical and electronic vehicle faults.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing, repairing and maintaining HGVs to a high standard.
• Carrying out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Completing mechanical, electrical and electronic fault diagnosis.
• Identifying faults efficiently and carrying out appropriate repairs.
• Working across a variety of commercial vehicle systems and components.
• Ensuring vehicles meet all relevant safety, legal and compliance requirements.
