Job summary

States of Guernsey is seeking a motivated HGV Driver in Norman to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. You will load, transport and deliver items to customers and businesses, ensuring accuracy and timely service.

Applicants must hold a current Category C driving license; Hi-ab certification is desirable and training is available. A good knowledge of Guernsey roads is beneficial, with a competitive salary and benefits package including health insurance and an employee discount.

The key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

• Loading, transporting, and delivering items to customers or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
• Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
• Providing excellent customer service, answering questions and queries.

Applicants should have good communication and problem solving skills, be professional and courteous and be able to work within a team and individually. Basic computer skills are also required to keep track of order progress.

Applicants must hold a current Category C driving license. Hi-ab certification would also be desirable, although we are willing to offer training. A good knowledge of Guernsey roads is also beneficial.
