Hanger, Inc. in Rochester, MN seeks an Associate Fabricator to fabricate orthoses and prostheses, ensuring the best fit, function, cosmetics and workmanship.

You will receive on-the-job training and formal O&P training, maintain tools and materials, and follow device-specific work instructions for your area. Emphasis on safety, HIPAA compliance and professional conduct throughout manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; no experience required.
• Prefer: <1 year in environments with machinery, tools, design or fabrication.
• Without diploma/GED, 1 year in O&P environments with similar tasks.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate orthotic and/or prosthetic devices following standards.
• May assist with ordering, receiving and inventory tasks.
• Maintain 5S to keep a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
• Adhere to OSHA and HIPAA training and requirements.

The Associate Fabricator fabricates the orthoses and prostheses to provide maximum fit, function, cosmetics and workmanship. The Associate Fabricator will have on the job training as well as formal O&P Training i.e., LMS and other training provided by leadership. Through this training you will be expected to maintain tools, equipment, materials, and following work instructions per device in your work area.

Your Impact

• Perform fabrication of orthotic and/or prosthetic devices, according to Company quality and quantity standards.
• May assist or perform in ordering and receiving and other inventory tasks as assigned.
• Maintain 5s to ensure for a safe, clean and orderly work environment.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
• Adhere to all HIPPA and other regulatory compliance training issued by Hanger, Inc.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience and Education:

• High School Diploma or GED; no experience required.
• Preferred: less than 1 year of related experience working within environments that include: machinery, tools, wood working, design, fabrication, componentry, etc. –OR-
• Without diploma/GED, 1 year of related experience working within O&P environments that include: machinery, tools, design, fabrication, componentry, etc.

• Knowledge and hand skills needed to fabricate and repair prostheses (artificial limbs) and orthoses (orthopedic braces) according to specifications.
• Mechanical ability and hand-eye coordination to use laboratory tools safely and effectively.
