Job summary

Hanger Fabrication Network in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Associate Fabricator to construct orthotic and prosthetic devices under supervision, with on‑the‑job and formal O&P training provided. You will maintain tools, equipment, and follow device-specific work instructions.

You will also support inventory tasks, stay compliant with safety standards, and collaborate with team members to ensure quality workmanship in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; no experience required.
• Preferred: less than 1 year of related experience in environments with machinery, tools, wood working, design, fabrication, componentry.
• Without diploma/GED, 1 year of related experience in O&P environments with machinery, tools, design, fabrication, componentry.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate orthotic and/or prosthetic devices according to Company standards.
• Assist with ordering and receiving and other inventory tasks as assigned.
• Maintain 5S to ensure a safe, clean and orderly work environment.
• Adhere to OSHA and HIPAA training and safety requirements.
• Follow device-specific work instructions per area and maintain tools and materials.

The Associate Fabricator fabricates the orthoses and prostheses to provide maximum fit, function, cosmetics and workmanship. The Associate Fabricator will have on the job training as well as formal O&P Training i.e., LMS and other training provided by leadership. Through this training you will be expected to maintain tools, equipment, materials, and following work instructions per device in your work area.

Your Impact

• Perform fabrication of orthotic and/or prosthetic devices, according to Company quality and quantity standards.
• May assist or perform in ordering and receiving and other inventory tasks as assigned.
• Maintain 5s to ensure for a safe, clean and orderly work environment.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
• Adhere to all HIPPA and other regulatory compliance training issued by Hanger, Inc.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience and Education:

• High School Diploma or GED; no experience required.
• Preferred: less than 1 year of related experience working within environments that include: machinery, tools, wood working, design, fabrication, componentry, etc. -OR-
• Without diploma/GED, 1 year of related experience working within O&P environments that include: machinery, tools, design, fabrication, componentry, etc.

• Knowledge and hand skills needed to fabricate and repair prostheses (artificial limbs) and orthoses (orthopedic braces) according to specifications.
• Mechanical ability and hand-eye coordination to use laboratory tools safely and effectively.
