Job summary

Mediacom Communications seeks a Manager, HFC Networks to oversee preventive and demand maintenance across the HFC network, ensuring FCC compliance and Mediacom standards. This role leads field engineering and network operations within the service area.

The position requires 5–10 years in field technical roles including CATV and project management, with strong leadership and safety capabilities. A high school diploma is required; an associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in a field technical position including CATV and Project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day engineering tasks for area including Preventive and Demand Maintenance.
• Development and roll out of fiber restoration plan.
• Guidance and training in procedures for System Sweeping, Alignment, Testing, Analysis, Troubleshooting, Ingress/Egress monitoring, Repair and Certification, including RF two way and leakage monitoring.
• Management of transport networks and equipment installations, upgrades between Master Headend, hubs and hub to hub.
• Documentation and records for all activities and testing per Mediacom policy; conduct annual and semi-annual FCC POP tests and related reports.
• Train system personnel and provide direction for training of technical staff.
• Travel within service area and on-call availability.
• Pole/climb work with safety gear; operate lifts; work in confined spaces.
• Protect and maintain Mediacom equipment; ensure calibration, repair and alignment of equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
